• Сross-country skiing

  Many of our guests ski on the snowy surface of the lake. This is allowed only when the ice on the lake is strong enough. Usually from December to March inclusive.
  Do you want to ski on a groomed track? Ruokolahti has a groomed cross-country ski track that is lit up in the evenings. Free for skiing.

• Ice sleds

  Going on holiday with kids? Great. Children will enjoy sledging right in the village. We provide a few sleds near every cottage.

• Skiing

  Ruokolahti has a wonderful ski centre called Free Ski. There are slopes for skiing and snowboarding, lifts, renting, cafe on the territory. More information about  ski centre.

• Cafes and restaurants

  Tired of cooking yourself (and there are all the facilities for that in the house and nearby)? Several excellent restaurants are waiting for you. 

• Spa centres in Imatra

  There are several of them and they work, of course, not only in summer, but also in winter. Especially impressive in winter is the outdoor heated pool at Imatran Kulpylä Spa (but that's just in case you get bored of bathing in your personal SPA on the terrace of your sauna :) ).

• Winter fishing

• Floating

  Want something out of the ordinary?
  Try floating. Feel the state of weightlessness by diving on the surface of open water in a special waterproof suit. Yes, you can also try floating in winter (just think about speical underwear in advance, and the instructors will provide you with a floating suit.

Of course, all of the above is available not only on holidays, but also during the whole winter period. By the way, the price in the winter season at Saimaa Lakeside is much more pleasant than in the summer season. Don’t forget that we offer discounts for our regular guests.
