Tahko winter season opening 2026/2027

On 13 November 2026, Tahko's Piazza Square will host a festive opening celebration for the 2026/2027 winter season, featuring live performances by Komiat and other artists. Visitors will also enjoy the brand-new chairlift on Tahko's front slopes, while carefully preserved snow reserves will make it possible to start the ski season already in November.

In Finland, ski holidays are not just a sport, they are a lifestyle.
There are more than 100 winter sports resorts in Finland. The most popular resorts in Finland are skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, dogsledding, snowmobiling and snowmobiling.
More than half of the resorts are located in the southern part of the country. The hilly terrain, relatively mild but snowy climate, quiet close to the capital, and stunning nature have made this region really attractive for tourists.
One of the main ski resorts in Finland is Tahko. Not only local people but also guests from different countries love this resort: Sweden, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Great Britain and others. Tahko ski resort is distinguished by a significant height difference – up to 200 meters and almost the longest slopes in Suomi – up to 1200 meters.

Visitors of Tahko ski slopes can choose from 25 slopes of varying difficulty and length (8 lighted):

• slopes of high difficulty level, black:3
• medium difficulty slopes, red: 8
• low difficulty slopes, blue: 9
• beginner slopes, green: 8
• children's slope: 1

There are 15 lifts: 2 and 4 chair lifts, 11 rope tow lifts, 2 wonder-carpet lifts (safe running track for children).
For fans of cross-country skiing, there are 64 kilometres of slopes, 16 of which are illuminated.

Snowboard park: SuperPipe and straight where competitions are organized.

Beginners can take lessons at the ski school under the guidance of professional English-speaking instructors.

There are 2 points where you can rent some equipment. Here you will also find snowmobile and electric bike renting. The Tahko Bike Park is open in spring, summer and autumn.

In Tahko, everyone can take part in snowmobile safaris, snow bikes, ice fishing and other fun activities.
In summer, Tahko resort offers hiking, cycling, water sports, quad biking and paintball. There is an 18-hole golf course not far from Tahko hills cottages.
Tahko Spa and the nearby Fontanella Water Park are open all year round.
Besides that, you will find the longest zipline in Finland (1.4 kilometres long, starting at the top of the slopes and going over the slopes and the lake).
